Pre-shipment vehicle inspection: evidence to request
Turn a generic inspection promise into a dated, unit-specific photo, video, document and loading evidence pack.
Pre-shipment inspection should produce evidence a buyer can trace to the exact truck or trailer. The scope must be agreed before the final payment or loading date.
Create a unit-specific evidence pack
Every photo and video set should show identifiers and current condition clearly enough for remote review.
- Chassis or serial number
- Four-side exterior and underbody views
- Tyres, suspension, brakes and lights
- Cab, dashboard, engine bay and operating video where applicable
Test the contracted functions
The checklist should follow the signed specification and the actual operating function of the unit.
- Hydraulic tipping or ramp operation
- Brake and electrical interface
- Dimensions and key component labels
- Leaks, abnormal noise and warning indicators
Close the inspection trail
Keep the accepted report, loading evidence and shipping documents linked to the same unit identifiers.
- Signed inspection summary and exceptions
- Corrective action evidence
- Loading and securing photos
- Final packing list and shipping document review
